The rules
New unfair trading rules start: a general prohibition on manipulative or obstructive conduct, per-transaction fees shown beside the base price, clearer subscription terms including introductory prices, and an online way to cancel subscriptions started online. Your advisers assess which parts apply to your business. Recheck after every release.
Each finding names the rule it touches: the general prohibition on manipulative or obstructive conduct, the rules on per-transaction charges, or the subscription rules on disclosure, price steps and online cancellation. Mechanical points are reported as facts about the screen; judgement points carry a confidence level and a reason.
The rules keep applying to every release you ship. Rechecks run on a schedule or when your team ships, so you can check the affected flow again after every release.
What your team can do now
With the flow most customers use, usually checkout, then sign-up and cancellation. Walk it as a customer on mobile and desktop, save every screen and note where fees, price steps and the way out appear.
Fees that first appear after the advertised price, introductory prices without the price that follows, and subscriptions started online that cannot be ended online. The Australian checklist lists the questions for each step.
How Flowlane helps
Bring a flow or screenshots. We review the evidence and agree a next action. Broader scope is agreed separately.
A record of the affected step, evidence, suggested change and evidence gaps. Deliverables are agreed beforehand.
No installation or internal access. Behind a login, use an authorised test account or screenshots within the agreed scope. Remove sensitive information.
We identify what was observed and what remains unverified. An unavailable screen, a blocked step or missing information stays visible as a limitation. Assessments under a general prohibition involve judgement, reported with a confidence level and a reason. The absence of a finding is not proof that the entire flow is clear. This helps your team decide what further evidence or review is needed.
Annual plans, priced by the flows we cover and how often we check. We talk it through in the walkthrough.
